NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Village Road Improvement Project isn’t making the morning commute any easier for some motorists, as extensive roadwork continues on the major thoroughfare.

Diversions continuing in the Village Road area as signage points motorists to alternate routes while crews continue major roadworks along Village Road.

Last month, Works Minister Alfred Sears told the media the $6.4 million project was originally slated to be completed this month. The new completion date is November.

But with more schools opening for the 2022/23 school year, and classes back in session at Queen’s College, some motorists weren’t too happy about their morning commute, while others say they were surprised it was not as difficult as they thought it would be.
