NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Mount Tabor Church now thrust in the spotlight after its newly minted senior pastor resigned in what some say was an unexpected move.

It leaves many to wonder what’s next for the megachurch and exactly one year later, this happened.

Rickeno Moncur closed his church – Word of Life Kingdom Ministries – more than a year ago and joined Mt. Tabor Church before officially taking the helm.

His resignation comes as speculation swirled about Moncur’s and founding pastor Bishop Neil Ellis’ relationship.

Shortly after being ordained senior pastor, insiders tell us the two had a rocky relationship, saying the two often times bucked heads on different matters.

In his resignation video that took social media by storm Friday morning, Moncur gave this reasoning for what he termed an informal resignation.

Moncur wrapped up his resignation video by saying there is too much violence and bloodshed for the church to be fighting. He suggested his resignation was the best move, adding he didn’t want to be a hindrance.

As for what’s next for him and the Mt. Tabor Church, only time will tell.
