NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A murder convict serving a 48-year sentence has pleaded guilty to attempted murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping.

Richard Bevans was sentenced to 15 years, 10 years, and seven years, respectively. The sentences will run at the same time.

The charges stem from an incident that took place on May 17, 2016.

Angelo Black was seated in his truck on Yamacraw Beach when he was accosted by Bevans, who was wielding a handgun.

Bevans demanded cash, and he forced Black to drive to an ATM on Wulff Road to withdraw money.

Dissatisfied, Bevans ordered Black to go to his home to get more money.

While headed there, Black deliberately bumped into a car in a bid to get help. That’s when Bevans shot Black multiple times.

In 2023, you may recall Bevans was sentenced to 48 years for the March 26, 2016 murder of ZNS radio announcer Scott Richards.
