NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 35-year-old man facing murder and attempted murder charges will remain behind bars after a judge refused his bail application for the second time.

Deangelo Culmer has been detained since February 2024.

Prosecutors allege that Culmer is responsible for a triple shooting on January 31, 2024, that left Rudishka Bethel dead and Lorenzo Sands and Carla Bain injured.

The victims were outside of a bar at Ragged Island Street and Cordeaux Avenue when a man alleged to be Culmer opened fire on them from a car.
