UNITED STATES – Kristian Robinson and BJ Murray shifted from the World Baseball Classic to the Triple-A season and have been productive in early-season action for their respective clubs.

Two Bahamian sluggers are bringing the power to open the 2026 Triple-A season.

BJ Murray Jr. has been dynamic with the Iowa Cubs.

The switch-hitting infielder has already hit four home runs in just 32 at-bats, powering his way to a .281 average and a massive 1.097 OPS to start the year in the Chicago Cubs system.

In Arizona, Kristian Robinson is also leaving the yard early for the Reno Aces in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.

The power-hitting outfielder has crushed three home runs to go along with a .267 batting average, .389 on-base percentage, and two stolen bases, showing a dangerous power-speed combination.

CARIFTA Track and Field

The Grand Bahamian contingent of the CARIFTA track and field team returned home, greeted at Grand Bahama International Airport by friends, families, and the Minister for Grand Bahama, Ginger Moxey.

Several Grand Bahamians highlighted the list of top performers for Team Bahamas, including multiple medal-winning sprinters Emillie Higgins, Keyezra Thomas, and Zion Bradford.

NBA

The NBA playoff race is heating up with just two days left in the regular season.

Deandre Ayton and the Los Angeles Lakers are locked into the 3–4 seed in the West, headed into the finale tomorrow against the Utah Jazz.

In the East, VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers are fighting to avoid the play-in and can still finish as high as sixth. They close out the year against the Bucks.

Meanwhile, Buddy Hield and the Atlanta Hawks close out the season tomorrow night against the Miami Heat.
