NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 31-year-old music teacher is behind bars on accusations that he had sex with a person suffering from a mental disorder.

Wayne Williams is accused of having relations with the 17-year-old on January 1, 2024 and May 5, 2024.

Williams was not required to enter a plea to charges of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person suffering from a mental disorder when he appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on Monday.

Bail was denied and he’s back in court on March 3 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

As a result of the allegations, Williams has been suspended from St Francis and St Joseph’s School.
