LOS ANGELES, USA – The Los Angeles Lakers unveiled the first of three bronze statues honoring Kobe Bryant at Crypto.com Arena.

Alongside Vanessa Bryant, the Lakers commemorated the hall of famer in a ceremony on star plaza yesterday.

The 19-foot statue depicts Bryant in his iconic No.8 jersey, pointing to the sky after scoring 81 points against the Toronto Raptors.

Rob Pelinka, Lakers VP of basketball operations, reflected on the significance of the pose, noting Bryant’s legacy alongside daughter Gigi, who perished with him in a tragic 2020 helicopter crash.

Gigi will also be honored with a statue outside the arena.
