NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A magistrate on Tuesday set bail at $9,500 for the parents accused of causing the death of their two-year-old son through negligence.

Demargio Thurston, 23, and Sabrina Henry, 20, were remanded to prison on Monday, pending a bail hearing.

The prosecution did not object to their release.

They are accused of causing the death of their son Jeremiah Thurston on August 12.

On the day in question, the toddler was found unresponsive while hanging out of the window of his parents’ car.

Thurston and Henry will return to court on November 23 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
