NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Patricia Rolle is a resident we met at a gas station on Sunday before conditions in New Providence began to deteriorate.

She told us that after enduring three hours at the grocery store the day before, her and her husband went out to complete last minute errands.

To her surprise the pandemonium had subsided.

“We [were] just driving trying to see what’s going on”

“It’s not too bad I have seen a few cars…I went to the store again this morning and it was not too bad,” Rolle said.

Our News team also visited a local grocery store, and although there was not much chaos, there was a consistent flow of customers, according to grocery packer, Brandon.

He said from his observation, customers came in that morning to purchase various items, mostly snacks.

“Some fruits, noodles, chip, ice cream, all that,” he said.

While most persons would groan at having to work the morning of an impending tropical storm, Brandon says he was happy to come to work, and here’s why:

“A lot of money making a lot of customers were coming in,” he said.
