HAITI – Haiti’s new Prime Minister Garry Conille was discharged from the hospital sunday after treatment for an undisclosed condition.

In a Youtube video, he said he’s ready to tackle the country’s security crisis and healthcare issues. Conille highlighted the struggles haitians face accessing medical care due to violence.

Gang violence remains severe, with three police officers killed and one missing, forcing 60% of hospitals in the capital to close.

Conille, selected on June 1, faces the challenge of reducing violence and poverty amid record 29% inflation.

Israel continues its assaults in Central and Southern Gaza, while Hamas demands U.S. pressure on Israel to stop the fighting.
