NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A nightclub owner broke down in tears after a Supreme Court judge sentenced him to 21 years in prison for the rape of a drunk woman.

Fifty-six-year-old Akeem Wilson will be in his seventies when he’s freed from prison because sexual offenders are not entitled to time off for good behavior.

Justice Renae McKay slammed Wilson’s behavior as she decried the high rape rate in the country.

The court heard the rape victim visited Wilson’s New Dawn Club on July 4, 2021 along with her sister, who is a close friend of Wilson.

They both were drunk and the 21-year-old victim decided to sleep at her sister’s apartment, which she rented from Wilson.

The woman testified that he went to the bathroom to vomit and passed out on the floor.

She awakened to grunting noises and saw Wilson on top of her.

She was too drunk to resist and later saw Wilson buckling his pants.
