NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A junior-ranking police officer accused of molesting his daughter will be tried later this year.

The 33-year-old corporal, who’s been suspended from duty, received an October 1 trial date after he was arraigned on 10 counts of incest before Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson.

He hasn’t been named to protect the identity of his daughter.

Prosecutors allege that the officer began molesting his 10-year-old daughter in November 2020.

The abuse allegedly continued until February 24, 2023. His daughter is now 12 years old.
