NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A date has been set as a repeat offender pushes to overturn his convictions for rape and robbery.

Christopher Forbes will have his day in court on January 12, 2026.

Prosecutors say Forbes committed the offenses soon after he was freed from prison after serving a 15-year sentence for rape.

On May 6, 2023, Forbes, while armed with a cutlass, pulled a woman into bushes and raped her twice.

Forbes was handed a 25-year sentence for rape and 15 years for robbery with violence.
