ELEUTHERA – A family island surrounded by water is the ideal place to learn to swim right ?
Unfortunately, for many kids like these in Eleuthera, it’s not something they learn out right.
ELEUTHERA – A family island surrounded by water is the ideal place to learn to swim right ?
Unfortunately, for many kids like these in Eleuthera, it’s not something they learn out right.
A few years ago, One Eleuthera Foundation started the Eleuthera Primary School swimming program. It was a pilot rhat’s evolved into an on-going life saving program.
The program is a collaboration between One Eleuthera, the Ministry of Education and the Connery Foundation.
400 family island children and some adults have benefitted over the last 5 years.
And who knows, one of our future Olympians may be among this bunch.
Even so, for now it’s helping to save lives.
