NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The drama surrounding the Valley Boys Junkanoo Group has been ongoing for months.

The split was made public back in may when a statement was released announcing the formation of Trevor Davis’ way forward Valley Boys.

But the World Famous Valley Boys quickly clarified that there had been no leadership change and that Brian Adderley remained the chairman.

And the drama didn’t end there. Just Wednesday Youth, Sports and Culture Minister Mario Bowleg revealed both factions of the Valley Boys would be getting seed funding.

When asked his thoughts, the Junkanoo leader said they did not want to get caught up in the Valley Boys saga.

Earlier this week, the JCNP revealed the World Famous Valley Boys would be competing in the A-category in this year’s major parades while the way forward group has been placed in the F-category.

But Minister Bowleg has said both factions will get the amount of funding an A-group is awarded, a move that did not sit well the Junkanooer.

Despite the divide in one of it’s biggest competitor. Rolle is confident that One Family bring home the victory.
