NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Opposition Leader Michael Pintard, Monday, making the case for a special committee to address immigration issues, and make evidence-based policy decisions.

In the House of Assembly, Monday, Pintard says the government must be careful that “we are not making policies simply because we are under duress.”

In addition, Pintard is calling for a timeline on Operation Secure, as well as answers to a host of questions including:

How many illegal migrants currently reside in The Bahamas?

How many shantytowns exist in the country?

What percentage of residents in shantytowns are Bahamians?
