NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As questions swirl on the heels of a bombshell U.S. indictment listing high-ranking law officials and alleging the involvement of politicians in a drug and firearm conspiracy, you’d think there would’ve been a spotlight for International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9th.

But here at home, it went by relatively unnoticed.

We asked Executive Director at the Organization for Responsible Governance Matt Aubry how he felt about the recognition of the day at home.

For ORG, they turn anti-corruption day into Integrity Week.

The executive director commending the publication of the official gazette.

While it’s a step in the right direction, Aubry says the push for improved transparency continues.

“Currently there’s the independent commission of investigations bill which has been put forward, its in our policy review center, please check it out and there’s even a feature where you can put forward your ideas, suggestions, comments and that will be shared directly with government and the opposition and its a great way to show your voice does matter,” Aubry said.
