NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With emphasis being placed on mental health as of late, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is doing their part locally to spread awareness and break the stigma of mental illness.

The organization recently holding a bench painting ceremony to commemorate the initiative.
PAHO Representative for The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands, Dr. Eldona Boisson explains.
Dr. Boisson says the next step is shifting the focus to the mental health of teens.
