NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The parents of a four-year-old girl are seeking answers after the child was allegedly injured at school.

They spoke with Giorgio Bain.

On October 18th, Rossano and Mikaella Coleby got a call from officials at their daughter’s school, San Pedro International. The couple was informed that the four-year-old’s hand had been badly crushed by a classroom door.

Mrs. Coleby, who met her husband and daughter at the doctors office, compared the experience to a movie scene.

The child’s pediatrician immediately sent the couple to the emergency room.

Zara has now been referred to a plastic surgeon.

The incident has raised many questions for the upset parents.

Coleby says she attempted to get answers at a meeting held at the school on October 21st but that did not happen.

Coleby says the other student involved in the accident has since been expelled from the school, but the couple says the school has yet to effectively deal with the matter.
