NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Three employees at the Passport Office accused of helping Haitian nationals to get Bahamian passports made their first court appearance on Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Lavarcia Gaitor, 27, Latoya McCartney, 26, and Tia Hall, 41, made it possible for Chedlslord Henrisier, John Henrisier, and Roberde Jacques to get passports in October 2024.

They denied the allegations of abetment to possession of a forged document at their arraignment before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

The women were each granted $4,000 bail.

They return to court on August 19 and will be tried alongside the men who allegedly received passports through the back door.
