Plane Carrying 3 People Crashes in South Florida Near I95

BOCA ROTON, FLORIDA – A small plane crashed near a major highway in Boca Raton, Florida Friday morning, Pushing a car onto nearby railroad tracks and sparking a fiery scene.

According to authorities, three people were on board and their conditions remain unknown.

The FAA says the Cessna 310 took off from Boca Raton Airport bound for Tallahassee, but went down around 10:20 a.m. Just after takeoff.

The crash forced the closure of several roads and rail lines.

Officials say the plane struck a car, pushing it onto the tracks.

The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
