GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact on weddings and it’s probably a time most people want to put behind them.

Weddings were either held via Zoom or the guest list was limited due to covid protocols.

Well, now that we’re free to gather with as many of our loved ones as possible, it seems as though brides and grooms are switching up the previous wedding trends of the past, according to Owner and Lead Planner of Minding Your Business Bahamas Davina Rutherford.

The veteran event planner says the average size of weddings now ranges from 150 to 175 guests and two of the latest wedding trends focus on how to capture the perfect memories from the perspective of a guest.

As The Bahamas is arguably one of the most beautiful countries in the world, Rutherford says destination weddings are also quite popular.

And in a world where information and inspiration are readily available at your fingertips, Rutherford says try to stay clear of apps like Pinterest as it can sometimes create unrealistic expectations.

Now as you prepare for your big day, Rutherford also suggests utilizing the help of a planner as they have connections throughout the industry and will save you the guesswork and the stress.
