Plans to Restore Fiscal Health are Working

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Philip Davis, tabling the 2022 Fiscal Strategy Report and the medium term debt management strategy, Wednesday, in parliament.

However, Davis did note that in accordance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2018, the report was to be tabled on November 16th, 2022.

Davis adding that the report was deferred to allow for the inclusion of its outcome in the government’s projections, policies and strategy.

He says the medium term debt management strategy also benefits from the country’s rebounding credit profile which is reflected in factors such as interest rates, access to financing and the overall financing plan.

Davis says that plans to restore the country’s fiscal health are working.
