NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A campaign worker for the Progressive Liberal Party Yamacraw candidate was stabbed to death, Tuesday night.

Violence pierced the election season, as an argument resulted in a man being stabbed to death on Antigua Street in Elizabeth Estates. The incident transpired shortly after 7 Tuesday evening. 

Yamacraw PLPs sang hymns as they grieved the victim – a fellow campaign worker.

According to Police Press Liaison ASP Audley Peters, the victim was a well-known resident of Elizabeth Estates. He says a suspect was taken into custody.

Family members on the scene told our news the victim is Kenrick Cambridge. 

PLP Yamacraw candidate Zane Lightbourne said he is familiar with the victim and his family.

Former PLP candidate Glendon Rolle is a pastor at nearby Zion Yamacraw Baptist Church. He also knew the victim and called for peace during the election season.
