NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The public still has confidence in us, that’s the position of the PLP chairman fred mitchell who believes that despite multiple allegations of wrongdoing, and calls for PLP ministers and MPs to resign, they still have public support.

He is confident the evidence supports his view. Recently, North Abaco Member of Parliament Kirk Cornish stood before a magistrate on charges of rape, assault, and threats of death.

Less than twenty-four hours before his arraignment, Cornish resigned as parliamentary secretary in the office of the prime minister.

Immigration Minister Keith bell has also come under fire for what many see as questionable actions within the department with the granting of work permits and citizenship.

Still, the PLP chairman says there are always highs and lows.
