NASSAU , THE BAHAMAS – Some notable PLP supporters weighed in on the party’s Monday night campaign launch.

From the entertainment industry, to the labor front, Grand Bahama residents, or even some known members of clergy, say the PLP deserves a second chance to “Continue Progress”

It was clear that the campaign launch was a night of fun and excitement for PLP supporters.

Long lines, cramped hallways and an overflowing ballroom told the story, but it wasn’t just fun and celebrations.

Many in the crowd, truly believe that the governing party, is the best choice for Bahamians at the polls.

Why?

A long time PLP supporter and PLP Rally MC, and local pastor, Dwight Ambrister, believes the country needs the stability of a re-elected PLP.

“We need a party who understands that who can deliver that they’ve been talking about it and now it’s time for manifestation and continuity stability that’s what you need right you don’t need no change up no up and down up and down “

While government has promised to address certain areas, Bahamian entertainer “Puzzle”, is hoping for more industry opportunities.

“We don’t really have you know, predominant record labels in The Bahamas so if the government marry with private sectors and get the private sector to pitch in to help the music to get international, I think that would be a great help. They don’t have to do it on their own like you know marry it with a private sector. I think it’ll be a beautiful thing.”)

Over on the labor front, Union of Tertiary Educators of The Bahamas President, Daniel Thompson, often clash with government on union matters but still wears his PLP colors proudly.

PLP hopeful, Ormanique Bowe challenged incumbent Wayne Munroe for the Freetown constituency. Not withstanding a disappointing loss for the nomination, she says she’s ready to work.

While Grand Bahama is known historically as FNM country, this resident says it’s time to move on.
