Police Probing Andros Boat Tragedy

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force are probing another boating tragedy last night, this time in waters off Andros.

According to reports, three Bahamian men left south Andros around 10PM on an aluminum fishing vessel – The Molly – en route to New Providence, when engine problems and inclement weather caused the vessel to capsize.

Police say a man’s body was recovered, one man is missing and a third man was rescued by another fisherman.

Captain Glenn McPhee of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force giving an update on the search efforts.
