NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Another death threat against Prime Minister Philip Davis is now under active investigation.

Police tell Our News the threats in question came in a phone call to the Central Police Station sometime around 8:20 Saturday morning.

Investigators say they have taken a man into custody and seized a device as evidence. The suspect is assisting police with their investigation.

This latest incident follows threats from two anonymous callers around noon, on February 3.

The callers, believed to be men, phoned the Office of the Prime Minister, prompting heightened security ahead of the 44th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government.

Police announcing last week they were questioning a 58-year-old man from Carmichael Road in connection with those threats.
