GAZA – Pope Francis has called for an investigation to determine if Israel’s actions in Gaza meet the legal definition of genocide, according to excerpts from a new book set for release on Tuesday.

In “Hope Never Disappoints, Pilgrims Towards A Better World”, the pontiff highlights the suffering of both Israelis and Palestinians, urging a thorough legal review. Francis previously labeled Israel’s attacks “immoral” and disproportionate, marking a rare direct critique.

The book coincides with the lead-up to the Pope’s 2025 Jubilee year, which is expected to draw millions to Rome.

Beyond the Gaza conflict, Francis addresses migration and global solidarity, urging cooperative responses over isolationist policies.
