NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Popular content creator Elias Fritz is awaiting a bail decision for a long list of charges stemming from a shootout with police and the shooting of a taxi driver.

The 19-year-old who is better known by his TIkTok handle JaidoWorld has been in custody since his arrest in August.

In the early morning hours of August 11, officers on patrol noticed a white Nissan Cube, allegedly driven by Fritz, speeding along Robinson Road without its headlights on.

The occupants of the car allegedly opened fire on the police officers, who shot back.

The pursuit ended when the Cube crashed into a utility pole on the Eastern Road.

While the chase was underway, a police unit came across a taxi driver who was shot by the occupants of a white Cube who tried to take his 2014 Honda Odyssey van.

Fritz and his alleged accomplices, a 19-year-old and 17-year-old, are charged with attempted murder, attempted armed robbery, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson is expected to rule on Fritz’s bail bid this month.

Fritz became popular on TikTok while working as a bartender at the Tiki Hut.

Fritz later landed a modeling contract with local fashion brand Bahari and promoted events.
