Potter’s Cay Murder Closed After Alleged Suspect Gunned Down

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A pending murder case officially came to an end when prosecutors presented a death certificate for Mario Brown, otherwise known as Ridge and Buddha.

Brown, a 34-year-old father of three, was shot and killed in an ambush on January 26, 2025.

The murder, which was caught on camera, remains unsolved. 

A day after the killing, Our News obtained this surveillance video showing a silver car pulling up and three men jumping out.

Brown had pulled up to a home on Cooper’s Terrace on a motorcycle when three gunmen emerged from a car and opened fire.

One of the gunmen grabbed a handful of brown’s dreadlocks before running to the getaway car.

This isn’t the first time an incident like this has happened outside the home. Another young man was killed outside the same home on December 3rd, 2020.

At the time of his death, Brown was on bail for the murder of Jamaal Kemp, who was gunned down while at Potter’s Cay Dock.
