USA – One winning U.S. lottery ticket was sold for Wednesday night’s Powerball jackpot of just over 1 billion dollars.

The winning ticket was bought in Los Angeles however, it is unclear whether the winning ticket holder has claimed the prize.

Winning the jackpot is a one in 292.2 million chance, and once the ticket is claimed, they have the option of receiving the full amount in an annuity paid over 30 years or taking a smaller cash option as a lump sum.
