UNITED STATES – Former U.S. President Bill Clinton says he had no knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, and insists he did nothing wrong.

Clinton testified behind closed doors Friday before the House Oversight Committee, telling lawmakers in a prepared statement, “I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong.”

He also added that he would not have flown on Epstein’s private plane if he had any inkling of illegal activity.

The former president previously acknowledged flying with Epstein in the early 2000s, but has expressed regret for the association.

Committee Chair James Comer has said neither Clinton nor his wife, former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is accused of wrongdoing.
