Press Association Condemns Attack on Jamaican Media House

JAMAICA – The Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) condemning the attack on the offices of Nationwide News Network (NNN) calling it “reprehensible and cowardly”.

Police say a lone gunman on a motorcycle opened fire in the parking lot of the company’s compound on Friday.

Several employees were in the parking lot at the time of the attack, but no one was hurt.

The PAJ said it stands in solidarity with NNN and the broader journalism community in Jamaica and maintained that attacks on the media would not deter journalists from their duty to inform the public and ensure that the truth prevails.
