Principal Convicted of Kissing Student

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The principal at Grace Christian School of Excellence has been sentenced to prison for kissing a student. 

Thomas Nottage Sr, who is also a pastor, was arrested in October 2020 after he kissed a 13-year-old girl on the lips and tried to intimately tongue kiss her.

The student said that Nottage also hugged her and told that he loved her.

The incident happened after school hours when Nottage called the student into his office.

Nottage admitted hugging the student and telling her that he loved her. However, he denied that he kissed her.

Nottage said the girl falsely accused him because she was angry that he had punished her for being disruptive during a mock exam.

Nottage was sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment and fined $1,000 after he was convicted of indecent assault by Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.

He was also ordered to pay $500 in compensation to his victim. If Nottage doesn’t pay the fine and compensation, he will have to spend an additional six months in prison.
