GRENADA – CARICOM leaders spent a full day in sessions on Monday.

Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley spoke to Our News about a game plan in the face of a worsening climate crisis. It’s once again high on CARICOM’s agenda.

Mottley has become the face of climate justice in the region and continues to push for solutions on a global stage.

Just weeks ago this same island nation was battered by monster storm Beryl as was Barbados, St. Vincent and The Grenadines and Jamaica.

Mottley continues to blame the international community for a failure to act.

But she’s not the only Caribbean leader in this fight as many are unhappy over the lack of response to the loss and damage fund established at COP27.

St. Vincent and Grenadines Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves is one of the more outspoken leaders whose country was also heavily damaged in Beryl.
