NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On Monday Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander released crime statistics for the first quarter of 2023.

Statistics show that serious crimes are down around the country such as murder which has seen a 16 per cent decrease when compared to this same period last year.

These residents says those numbers mean nothing if the results are the same.

Lately the country has been rocked with news of violence against women.

One resident says while all crime should be taken seriously, special emphasis should be placed on protecting women and children throughout the country.
