TURKEY – A survivor who spent more than 39 hours under the rubble in Turkey’s quake epicenter was pulled out from a damaged building by emergency services, Tuesday.

The earthquakes that tore through Turkey and Northern Syria on Monday claimed more than 6,000 lives in Turkey and Syria.

Turkish authorities said more than 12,000 search and rescue personnel were working in the affected areas and another 9,000 troops. The president called a state of emergency on Tuesday to bolster the responses.
