ACKLINS, BAHAMAS – A gas outage lasting a week on Acklins has left some residents stranded or significantly restricting their movements on the island.

And one of those businesses Chief Councilor Marvin Campbell was speaking about is a popular hangout on the island, Club Rolle-X. Henry Rolle is the proprietor.
And Rolle told Our News the impact is far-reaching.
Velma Ferguson of Ivel’s Bed & Breakfast shares the sentiment.
The chief councilor says the council has been in discussions with two potential operators for some time to supplement the one service station that fuels the entire island.
