HAITI – Gangs hit a wealthy neighborhood in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti early Tuesday, sparking intense clashes between gunmen, police, and even residents.

Police say the attack on Pétionville was led by Jimmy Chérizier, aka “Barbecue” and his viv Ansanm gang.

This latest wave of violence, didn’t come as a surprise. Authorities say the gang leader posted a video announcing it beforehand.

At least 28 suspected gang members were killed, and police seized hundreds of rounds of ammo.
