NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With COVID cases back on the rise, locals are expressing concern over the possible return of restrictive measures.

The new XBB.1.5 variant has COVID cases soaring across the globe.

Countries are on high alert and have begun reintroducing restrictions that were in place during the pandemic. 

Despite the rise in cases worldwide, government has not committed to reintroducing restrictive measures so far. When asked about the fear of the new COVID variant, residents say they’re not afraid but are still taking precautionary measures.
