Residents React to Woman Being Shot While Breastfeeding
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Many residents calling Sunday’s shooting bizarre as a woman was shot while breastfeeding her baby.

Our News team visited the home Monday where a frustrated family member chastised officers for the incident..
Police saying the bullet intended for an attacking pitbull at a Sunshine Park home ricocheted off the dog in the yard, striking a mother who was breastfeeding behind a gate nearby.
A family member at the home disagrees with the report saying police handled the incident incorrectly.
He claims that officers allegedly came to this white fence where the weapon was pointed through one of the holes and fired.
The family member says both the woman and dog are recovering but calls the act one of police brutality.
These neighbors familiar with the victim also expressed their displeasure.
Police arrested a man at the home who neighbors allege is the victim’s boyfriend.
