NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It is a desperate plea from retired Sergeant Theodore Neilly, a third-generation police officer, who claims he’s been denied police awards medals for his 29 years of service during a recent retirement ceremony.

Last September, The Court of Appeal upheld an award of damages to a Neilly who was wrongfully arrested by his superiors, including the current Commissioner of Police.

Neilly was arrested on September 1, 2016, after he expressed support for Maria Daxon.
