USA – Ford is recalling 112,965 F-150 pickup trucks with model years 2021 through 2023 due to a rear axle hub bolt that poses a rollaway risk if damaged.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warns the bolt might fatigue and break, potentially leading to damage and a risk of the vehicle rolling away or a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

While a fix is currently in development, F-150 owners are urged to visit a dealership for an interim repair if they notice a clicking or rattling noise related to the rear axle bolt.

This recall follows ford’s previous recall of over 870,000 F-150 trucks last year due to unexpected engagement of the electronic parking brake.
