EXUMA, BAHAMAS – Well, day one of the Rolleville Regatta and Homecoming is officially a wrap. And did you know, that Rolleville is one of the longest running homecomings in the country? Well, our Megan Shepherd and Terrance Colebrooke are in Exuma and they have the recap of day one’s festivities.

The 78th Annual Rolleville Regatta and Homecoming opening in grand style with a motorcade throughout the island and into the Rolleville Village.

Officially opening the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Exuma, Chester Cooper. Cooper commending organizers for taking the historic festival to the next level.

And, there’s just something nostalgic about a homecoming and regatta festival. Whether it’s the familiar faces of loved ones, the sweet Bahamian music or the mouthwatering Bahamian food. For vendors Irene McKenzie and Nyoshi Taylor, they say they’re happy to be back at the Rolleville Regatta Village after a two-year pandemic hiatus.
