GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Several organizations along with the Rotary Clubs in Grand Bahama coming together over the weekend to assist residents with their rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Dorian.

In East End, five new homes were dedicated to five mothers on Mother’s Day.

It is a special initiative by the Rotary Clubs in Grand Bahama for five home owners who lost their homes during Hurricane Dorian in the East Grand Bahama community.

Residents were able to return to their community on sunday after being gifted with new homes.

Immediate Past Area Governor Area Billy Jane-Ferguson explaining the project is a collaborative effort while District Area Governor Othyneil Pinder says he’s proud of the organizations’ accomplishments over the years.

President of the Rotary Club of Grand Bahama Donovan Bowe and President of the Rotary Club of Sunrise Kerline McPhee says it’s an honor to give back.

Margaret Leathen-Hall, a recipient of one of the five homes, says she’s grateful to be able to be back in the East End community.
