NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The National Women’s National Soccer Team will begin CONCACAF World Cup qualifying play Wednesday against Grenada in New Providence. 

President of the Bahamas Football Association Anya James spoke at a press conference where the team that would play in the next round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying play was named.

Newly named Head Coach Ricqea Bain was succinct in her goals for her team.

Cross Country Meet

The University of The Bahamas cross country team recently returned from the Keiser University Meet in Palm Beach, Florida. 

Fighting through a thunderstorm delay, Lhevinne Joseph was the Mingoes’ best performer in the 5k event, finishing in 17 minutes, 24.82 seconds. 

Lakicia Lewis  was the top performer for the women finishing in a time of 23.31.2.85 seconds.
