CUBA – Four Russian naval vessels, including a nuclear-powered submarine and a frigate, have arrived in Cuba amid tensions with the west over the war in Ukraine.

Anchored in Havana Bay, just 90 miles from Florida, the vessels include the Admiral Gorshkov Frigate and the Kazan Submarine, both carrying advanced weapons like hypersonic zircon missiles.

Despite earlier missile drills in the Atlantic, Cuba’s foreign ministry assured none of the vessels have nuclear arms, and their five-day visit is not a regional threat.

The US Navy monitored the vessels’ approach, while us officials are closely observing the visit. Russia’s defense minister described the visit as unofficial for crew rest.
