NEW YORK, UNITED STATES – Sean “Diddy” Combs lost his bid for a mistrial Wednesday in his federal sex-trafficking case.

His lawyers argued prosecutors wrongly implied he destroyed evidence tied to an alleged arson.

A judge quickly shut that down, telling jurors to disregard the claim.

The 55-year-old has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking.

Rapper Kid Cudi recently testified that his car was torched in 2012, shortly after combs learned Cudi had dated Combs’ ex.

Prosecutors say the arson is part of a larger pattern of violence and control Combs used to silence women.
