NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As parliamentarians recognized women’s rights during a special sitting, Senate President Lashell Adderley using the opportunity to address marital rape.

During an impassioned speech, erupting in applause from parliamentarians, the senate president insisted women must have equal rights, even in the bedroom.

The marital rape issue has been at the forefront of national discussion in recent months and this is not the first time the senate president has spoken out.
